Our Story
Eric Conklin
Owner & Operator Eric Conklin has his Associates Degree in Welding Technology from Ferris State University. He worked in the QA/QC department as a welding technician for a heavy fabrication company in Houston, TX where he oversaw welder qualifications and assisted in the qualification of weld procedure specifications (WPS). Eric is also a Certified Welding Inspector.
More recently, he was the Account Manager for Airgas Intermountain, located in Glenwood Springs, where he sold industrial and medical gases, welding equipment, and safety supplies.
Eric has a solid understanding of welding technology, which he uses to achieve a high level of quality in his fabrication.
When not working, Eric enjoys everything Colorado has to offer, including backpacking, hunting, climbing, skiing, rafting, and more. He is also passionate about serving the local community. Eric was a member of the Garfield County Search and Rescue team, a reserve firefighter with the Glenwood Springs Fire Department, and an active member at The Orchard church in Carbondale. Eric also enjoys serving as a volunteer medic on Ski Patrol at Sunlight .
Matt Wissink
Part Operator Matthew Wissink has a Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Associates Degree in Welding Technology, and a Quality Assurance Certificate all from Ferris State University. He worked for John Deere at their Dubuque Works facility as an engineer in the Production Dozer group. He has experience in heavy fabrication and oversaw production operations and capital acquisition projects. He has experience in machining and welding operations along with machine and robot programming. Matt is also a Certified Welding Inspector.
He recently moved to Rifle and joined forces with Eric; a long time friend.
Matt has a solid understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and is driven to acheive a high level of quality for the customer.
When not working, Matt enjoys everything Colorado has to offer, including backpacking, hunting, climbing, skiing, rafting, and more. He is also passionate about helping others experience the outdoors, and an active member at The Orchard church in Carbondale. Matt also enjoys serving as a Ski Patroller at Sunlight.
